VVS1
VVS1 (Very Very Slightly Included 1) diamonds exhibit near-flawless clarity. Even under 10× magnification, inclusions are extremely difficult to detect. This grade ranks third on the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) clarity scale, just below FL (Flawless) and IF (Internally Flawless). The differences between VVS1 and higher grades are visible only under a microscope.
The minute internal features allowed at the VVS1 level are typically located near the girdle or pavilion and have no impact on the diamond’s brilliance or overall beauty. Reports from leading gemological laboratories document not only the type of inclusions but also their precise location — providing both a reliable means of identification and confirmation of the diamond’s exceptional quality.
