Asscher

Introduced in 1902 by the Asscher family, the Asscher cut is a refined evolution of the Emerald cut. Its square step-cut silhouette with beveled corners produces a captivating “hall of mirrors” effect, amplified by precise symmetry and clean, open facets. Depending on the design, Asscher-cut diamonds can feature 49, 57, or even up to 75 facets. In 1999, Edward and Joop Asscher reimagined the original cut and unveiled the Royal Asscher cut, featuring 74 precisely engineered facets.

A defining hallmark of this cut is its emphasis on clarity. The large, open facets can reveal inclusions, which is why VS clarity or higher is typically recommended.

The Asscher cut is ideal for those who appreciate classic elegance and vintage style. It's a choice for lovers of timeless design and understated luxury.
