CVD
CVD diamonds (Chemical Vapor Deposition) are laboratory-grown diamonds produced using a specialized vapor deposition process. The method mimics conditions similar to those found in interstellar space — low-pressure, carbon-rich atmospheres. The crystals grow gradually, layer by layer, on a substrate — typically requiring several days to a few weeks to fully form.
CVD diamonds exhibit the same physical, optical, and chemical characteristics as natural diamonds: exceptional hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), adamantine luster, high light dispersion, and the captivating play of reflections and flashes of color known as diamond fire. Once cut and polished, they are virtually indistinguishable from natural diamonds to the unaided eye.
However, CVD diamonds may retain subtle diagnostic features of their growth process — such as characteristic inclusions, growth striations, or unique fluorescence patterns. These indicators can be identified only through advanced gemological analysis, including photoluminescence spectroscopy.
CVD diamonds offer a modern, ethical, and environmentally responsible alternative to mined diamonds. Perfectly suited for fine jewelry, they combine high quality, technological precision, and greater affordability. They reflect the values of a new generation — those who embrace style, consciousness, and innovation.
